Our Dietitians

Our dietitians are here to help you with heart healthy nutrition.

At Heart HQ, you can work one-on-one with our dietitians so they can help provide you with individualised nutrition support to improve your health via nutrition coaching, tailored meal plans and nutrition education.

Tess Keightley

Tess is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and Nutritionist. She helps manage chronic diseases and health concerns with nutritional interventions to improve health outcomes.

Her experience stems from working in private practice, clinical dietetics, in the media and consulting with the food industry.

Tess currently works as a consultant dietitian to The Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital and is the Founder of Authentic Spoon Nutrition, an online nutrition communication business, where she shares evidenced-based nutrition education. Tess was recognised as a Top 20 Nutrition Professional for 2019-2020, landing her an invitation to an intimate meeting with Jaime Oliver at Woolworths headquarters.

Tess' exceptional service has seen her work alongside some of Australia’s biggest brand names, landing the role as the sole Dietitian for YouFoodz Australia. Her impressive resume features work alongside honorable brands such as Channel 9 Australia, Queensland Government, Australian Heart Foundation, Dairy Australia, Queensland Health, and Arnott’s.

Tess believes there is space for all foods in our diets and has a very balanced approach to nutrition. She works with patients to create realistic and sustainable goals that are best suited to their treatment plan and lifestyle. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to nutrition and Tess will work with you to create a nutrition plan that is suited to your individual needs.

Tess doesn’t take herself too seriously and finds that being her authentic self is the best way to communicate her nutrition messages.

Megan Rowley

Megan is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) and Nutritionist who studied at the University of the Sunshine Coast. She completed her clinical placements at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, where she worked within the Respiratory, Cardiac Care, General Surgical and Intensive Care Units.

A family history of cardiovascular disease has led Megan to seek experience with Dietitians in the cardiac rehabilitation space during her studies. This further fuelled her passion for empowering people with evidenced-based nutrition education, skills and interventions to improve their health outcomes.

Megan supports patients to create balanced and realistic nutrition goals. She helps them to create individualised nutrition interventions that support and manage their health concerns and treatment, while fitting in with their lifestyle.

When she is not seeing patients, Megan enjoys cooking and spending time at the beach with her partner and their Dalmatian puppy.

To be eligible for a Medicare rebate, you will need to get a referral from a doctor before seeing one of our dietitians. If you have private health care, some of the costs might be covered by your provider - check with your private health fund to see if you are covered for dietetic services.
