Experienced Medical Billings Administrator

What You Will Do

The Experienced Medical Billings Administrator will play a key role in the finance functions of Heart HQ:

  • Reconcile daily clinical billing
  • Review, enter and submit procedural and inpatient billings to Medicare and health funds
  • Process, renew and accounts management of annual service provision contracts with patients
  • Enter financial transactions into internal databases
  • Accounts receipting and collection
  • Invoicing to customers and external partners as needed
  • Accounts payable functions as required
  • Any other tasks as requested by the Finance Manager.

Who You Are

  • Previous experience working in a medical environment.
  • Previous experience in all facets of billings/ account management in the medical specialist environment.
  • A sound understanding of Medicare, DVA, health funds and hospital billings.
  • Uncompromising attention to detail.
  • The ability to work autonomously, prioritise workloads, as well as contribute positively to the team environment.
  • Confident computer skills, prior experience with medical practice clinical software (Healthtrack desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with doctors, hospital billing departments and all relevant third parties.

We have an innovative approach to helping our patients and recently launched our dedicated Heart CT Scanner (the first integrated cardiac scanner on the Sunshine Coast) and our Murmur Clinic (to help our referring GPs identify and treat patients with valvular heart disease).
