Dr Matthew Tung
MBBS (Hons) MPH (Distinction) FRACP Grad Dip (Cardiac EP)

Matthew is a cardiologist and electrophysiologist with a deep expertise in cardiac rhythm management.
He’s originally one of those southern state guys (which we don’t hold against him) and completed his medicine degree and initial training at Monash University and Monash Health. His cardiology training started at MonashHEART but was finalised in Canada, where he developed expertise in complex cardiac ablation and device implantation. Matthew retains a keen interest in research and academic life and is a senior lecturer at Griffith University’s School of Medicine and is clinical lead of Cardiac Rhythm Management at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital.
When he’s not managing atrial fibrillation, you might see Matthew on a Sunshine Coast beach, catching a wave.
