In the latest episode of Heart HQ – A cardiology podcast, our cardiologists Dr Peter Larsen and Dr Stuart Butterly discuss Valve-in-Valve Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (ViV TAVI) and women and cardiovascular disease.
Stuart shares an interesting case of a patient who was facing their third heart operation. Thanks to ViV TAVI, they were subjected to a minimally-invasive procedure with a shorter recovery period than with open heart surgery.
In their ‘5 things to consider’ segment, they take a look at women and cardiovascular disease – the prevalence, the symptoms, causes and more.
