Noosa delivered on the perfect winter’s day as we welcomed our GP guests to the Sofitel ballroom for a welcome video of Heart HQ’s journey to date and an Acknowledgement to Country by talented Meanjin artist, Waveney Yasso. We heard from Dr Mark Johnson, Dr Stuart Butterly and Dr Peter Larsen on their topics before morning tea.
We then returned to hear one of our Cardiac Sonographers, Barry Rudd, discuss Methods of Measurement and Interpretation for GPs and then Dr Michael Nam presented on Remote Home Monitoring technologies. Everyone loved hearing from Prof Tony Stanton, who delivered Practical Tips on Lipid Assessment and Management, and there were lots of questions around this topic afterwards.
After lunch we heard from a panel of speakers from EONLife Wellness and their pursuit to provide Cardiac Rehab reimagined. The afternoon also saw us all getting on our feet and moving to various breakout rooms for smaller group discussions and presentations.
We really hope those that attended had a great and informative day, and we welcome you all to attend our next event. Sign up to our GP newsletter here so you don’t miss our next event!
